HUNTING SEASON 2009/2010 This has been a very good year for us. We were blessed with a very large population of squirrels. We are blessed with a lot of farm ground to hunt and this year there were not very many places that had a good year of mast production. The squirrels came to us because the farm ground has a lot to give to a hungry squirrel. We worked our dogs as much as our work would allow us to and they responded. We are very excited with the effort we got out of them. We had the opportunity to take some new hunters along for their first time hunting with a dog. Everyone said they really enjoyed it and wanted to go again. Young and not so young liked it just the same. They never knew it would be the way it was. There was a lot more action than they expected. If you have never been, find you someone with some dogs and try it out. I think that you will be glad that you did. Here are some of the pictures that we took along the way this year. Look them over and see what you think. Give us a call if you live close enough and come go with us but I must warn you that there in NO KNOWN CURE for the desire of hunting with these little dogs once you have been bitten by the SQUIRREL HUNTING with FEIST BUG!!!!
Here is Ginger. Ginger is well on her way to be a fine tree dog. She can go and get it done by herself. Ginger should finish out this year. She is not very big but she makes up for her size with her heart. She will go and she will go long and deep.
This is Maggie and my great nephew Reid. Maggie is the latest addition to our kennel. She is a little fire ball. She was broke to the gun at 3 months old and barking at hang-ups at 4 months old. We look for good things from her this year!

Here is some more of the gang. Clay, Marty and Bullet. Bullet is the newest addition to Marty's kennel. He has a shot to be one of those special dogs. He started at a early age and has never looked back. He is only 10 months old but you can pick up a gun and take him to the woods and kill squirrels with him. He is well on his way!

This young man lives in the neighborhood Clay showed him a good time his first time out with a dog. Ray is a good shot also if we had taken him more often we may have got a few more squirrels!!

Here are a couple of pics of young men that I think will be an asset to the squirrel dog world. This past year was there first year squirrel hunting with dogs and they are both hooked DEEP! The first young man's name is Cody. He is in college and the second young man's name is Shane. Shane just turned the ripe old age of thirteen. They both love these little dogs and love to hunt. A great combination I think!
